I think this is mostly regression and excitement/submissive because he almost never lifts his leg like he does outside. Very often the accidents are when he's playing or excited. He goes the whole night without accidents (up to 10 hours) and isn't crated that often anymore at night. The month prior to the neutering was when he was at his best with house training. I have a 9 month old male Border Terrier. I’m not sure if he’s just peeing inside now to spite us lol.Īnyways, thanks in advance for any feedback. If the issue continues, I will reach out to the vet to see if there’s an actual issue.Īlso, maybe I’m imagining this, but I’m thinking he’s mad at us since we’ve had to drastically limit his play (no daycare or dog parks) during his healing process. I order a UTI test kit on Amazon to see if that provides any results. I’m just wondering if anyone else had had potty training issues/regression after having your dog neutered. He’s crate trained, as he’s never peed in there during the day or overnight. Last evening he peed inside after only an hour or so having peed outside. On Tuesday this week he peed inside during the afternoon. He was holding it for 5ish hours sometimes out of his crate, as would be expected for a puppy his age. During those 12 days he had no issue with potty training. He sported a zen collar in place of a cone for about 12 days following his surgery (gave him the ability to eat and drink as the cone the vet gave him was much too big). My 6.5 month BT mix got neutered two weeks ago this past Wednesday. I have a question if anyone has experienced this.
